I picked up some BG TB and intake cleaner from the dealer the other day and cleaned the TB. I sprayed the crap out of it and ran it afterwards like it says on the can....Will holding the flap open and spraying it inside everywhere do the job??

I spray the crap out of it then take a soft bristled toothbrush and clean the plate and opening where the plate meets. Then take a shop rag and rub till clean. Sometimes have to spray it a few times.

I agree with Mike but I would not spray a bunch inside the intake. They do make intake cleaners but some of these chems are not safe for the teflon coating in your plastic intake.

I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention to the chemical you are using. Some can dammage the coating. We use GM top engine cleaner spray (there is a liquid and a spray, the liquid is for something else) I would use anything else at your own risk.

BG makes good products (I'm sure someone has a different opinion) and I'm sure it's fine to use. Other people read these posts too so just out to the public...not every chemical marketed for what you want is ok to use. I use the GM stuff because I know it's what has been tested to be ok and if it's not my avm won't give me a problem when I want some warranty money out of him (also they give it to me free :rollin: ).
