On to all the details. Car comes apart pretty easy. The doors were a little tricky the first time but we figured that out pretty fast. Baffles for all the door speakers due to the weird gm mount. We have no rattles in the doors at all.

We pulled the center counsel out thinking there was a factory amp but apparently there isnt lol, this proved very helpful to have out for me working up front and in the dash. We ran the rca's and speaker wire all down the passenger side of the car. I would have liked to run power wire down passenger as thats the side the battery is on but it just wasnt gonna happen so we ran power down the drivers side.

We had to cut out a ton of plastic in the back of the dash to get the radio to fit, fitment is awesome it looks stock with the dash kit. Luckily in the silverado there is plenty of room in the dash to fit wires and the GMos01 module etc. Since this car has chimes and onstar etc what we did was run a speaker wire from the drivers side stock tweeter which isnt used to the GMos01 module so that the chimes will come out that stock drivers side tweeter and he still has his onstar.

One thing thats kind of nice about this truck is if you pull out the rear seats which are heavier then hell and a pain in the ***. You can cut back some of the stock deadner and fit an amp back there and its totally out of the way you would never know its there because the seat back doesnt move. Now our problem was this amp is big but Polar Bear who wanted the amp there decided he no longer needed a seatbelt for his middle seat and took it out so the amp would fit. This ended up working out nicely.

For the time being the smaller side of the seat (passenger side) is left flipped up and the sub amp is just slid under there and the sub box is sitting there while we decide what to do about a substage in this car.

Get it all done and the car back together and we never thought to start the car cause it was in the heated garage, well next day i get the it sounds like i got a **** supercharger alternator wine. Well i know at one point well after we did the install in his durango he was starting to get intermitent alternator wine, well it was his monster cable rcas, ripped em out for some knukonceptz and silent as can be.

The stereo sounds awesome and the dnx7100 is amazing. Polar bear loves it said its super easy to use, and this kid doesnt know how email works. Install turned out awesome and the customer loved it.

Looks good... I had a quick question. I recently bought a new headunit and was going to replace the speakers as well and install them myself. Did the new speakers in the front and extended cab doors require alot of modification to fit or did you have aftermarket adaptors. Thanks

T-Love,

For the front doors I bought aftermarket adapters, however I was unable to find aftermarket adapters for the rear doors of my extended cab. Can't remember what I did exactly with the speakers and the rear doors but know a few tec screws and rubber grommets were involved. I saw another suggestion which was to gut the rear OE speakers and re-use their plastic frames, but I didn't want to destroy what I might one day want to put back into the truck. I didn't go with components this time around instead re-using the A pillar tweets and putting 2 way JBL's in each door.

I'm also in the process of pulling my current aftermarket navi and putting in a OE nav radio. The truck is non-bose so the project gives me the extra bonus of installing a amp in addition to the vss, voice, and harness adapters. Anyone have any suggestions and tips?
