Afm Rpo

Does any one know the AFM RPO code for a 2007 chevy NBS (5.3 nonflex)? One of my friends thinks the dealer riped him off by telling him he has it and he seams to think he doesn't. Any help you can give me would be great!

Looks to me like all #1500's have AFM

I'm almost positive that all NBS 5.3's have AFM.

how do you tell when it is active? does it have somthing in the DIC?

Yes if you search thru the DIC for something that says mode and under it says V8. That will tell you when it is switching from 8 to 4 cylinders. It only does it when your driving a constant speed though so if your going up and down hills it won't do it. Personally I don't like it and am looking into getting it turned off until I actually need it.
