Nbs Head Unit

Should be in the audio section, just thought I'd get quicker responses here. I have an amp/subwoofer, capacitator and all the wiring that I used in my 02 ranger before I got an 07 silverado. Can I hook all this up to the factory head unit that is already in the silverado or will i need to get certain wires etc? Thanks

anyone?

Impatient, or what? Do you really think that if you didn't get a response in less than an hour, you need to post again? Where's the fire?

NO, you will not be able to hook it directly to the factory head unit. You will need a converter from high to low frequency wires to be able to connect to the amp. That is unless you have an old amp that allows for speaker high level inputs. The converter can be found at most Wal-Marts and is made by Scosche, it changes a pair of speaker inputs to RCA, it should be about 1"x4"x3". Just be careful when laying your power and speaker wires, run the power and speaker wire opposite side of your truck to reduce as much interference. Good luck with your install.

Other than that just tap into a fuse in the inside panel for the remote turn on. Everything thing else should be a normal install.

If you have any questions feel free to PM me, I install car stereos as a hobby/side job for friends and should be able to help if you need.
