Flat Tires And Larger Than Stock Rims

I just bought my wife an 03 Yukon Denali, and put some 22" rims on it. If the vehicle gets a flat tire, is there some way to disable the awd in order to drive on the spare, since the spare is now a different size than the rest of the rims/tires?

Try your owners manual or the dealer for info. You don't need the same rim and tire size for a spare, but you do need the same diameter. Mark.

a good idea would be to use a tire calculator, like a lot of online places have, tire rack being one of them and there are others, and input your new tires and rim size and then the old tire and rim size and see what the difference in diameters is. if they are within a few hundreths of each other no problem, but if they are quite off, that make problems for AWD. to disable AWD, remove the front shaft , thats about the only way i know thats if the 03 is still a transfer case style AWD setup like the older 4wds and AWDs
