2004 Silverado 1500 No Rear Brake Lights

This one has me stumped. I have replaced both bulbs at rear brake lights to no avail. I have checked fuses under hood (stop lp), checked fuses at driver door (veh stop) (brake). Trailer brakes are working and third brake light works. The switch ay\the pedal is good. What else could this possibly be? unning lights, signal lights and backup lights all work also. BTW my cluster just went out at the sppeedo. Could this be related? I know about the speedo bulletin.

 

Please help I am going nuts and this is very unsafe.

OK!!! have a good laugh on me. It helps if you inspect / replace the correct bulb....It is the top one in the lens.
