Alright its a 1997 GMC 1500 with the 5.7L Vortec and 160K on the clock. SES light on when purchased. Was told fuel filter. So i replaced it. No help. Blew the head gaskets..( Well mom actually did it but i got to pay for it. ) So new headgaskets, heads cleaned and reassembled. Got everything back 4th of July last year. Had it for 30 min after i picked it up from the shop and was stranded on the side of the road again. Popped the hood and saw the mechanic i took it to didn't tighten down the distributor so it moved and then burnt through three brand new plug wires. Didn't bother to go back to that mechanic and got it working on the side of the road. New wires, cap, and rotor. Got everything back together and sure enough SES still on and still had rough idle. Still goes away with a little throttle. Plugged it up to a SNAP on box to see what the code was and it showed a miss on 3 and 6 at idle. Also showed it going away with throttle. Well decided it was time to try and get it fixed again and get another opinion. Took it to another shop. They told me distributor. So i got a reman distributor and took it to them. Still had the miss with the new distributor but wasn't as bad. The mechanic told me the pickup in my old distributor was gone and that it wouldn't adjust timing. Said get new wire and plugs and that should fix it. He also plugged it up to a SNAP on box and it showed the same thing as before. Well i drive it for two straight days, about 150 miles a day, park it in the driveway, wake up saturday morning to head to Louisianna. Won't start at all. Turns over but will not fire.

SOMEONE please help me.....

Alright i think i pinned it down to fuel pump. There was no fuel pressure at all through out the lines. Changing hopefully this weekend.... will update if this fixes it...
