I have a 97 yukon and the vehicle will randomly get stuck in park. I am wondering if this is typical and whether the BTSI switch is the cause. I see teeth on the switch as well, is it adjustable or should I just replace it. This is an intermittent problem and have yet to pinpoint the source.

 

In the worst case would I be able to move the attached lever to get the vehicle out of park.
