Oil Pressure

Is it normal for the oil pressure gage to fluctuate a lot? It seems to go way down when you let go of the pedal and when you accelerate it goes up.

 

And remember I'm still a newb.

Yes, it's normal. The oil pressure will be the lowest when idling (i.e., sitting at a red light) and raise with RPMs, such as when accelerating.

Yeah, you're used to the "dummy" gauges on other cars...gm's actually show you the actual oil pressure...others just show you there IS oil pressure and never move unless all the oil drains out or something.
