Torsion Bars

I have searched every keyword i can think of for "torsion bar adjustment"...am i not searching the right word or what...if their is already one of this topics started im sorry to start another one. ne ways does anybody have any clue how to tighten the front end torsion bars on a 2004 GMC Sierra Crew Cab Z71 to make it the same height as the back end...and does it hurt ne thing to do this???

you wont be able to match it, even with a torsion key lift, but you can get it close.

thanks and that is pretty much what i want but how do you do it and does the truck have to be on a lift or what ain't to familar on doing this

thanks man....and i am not going to do ne off-roading what so ever i am just trying to give the truck a "smooth" look with the factory bars

ok i figured out how to do it..but i got a question is there any effects on doing this...ik u got to get the front end re-aligned but is that about all i need to know

If you crank over 1.5", your ride will really start to suffer, and you will start to wear out front suspension components quicker.

ok so is all i have to do crank the torsion bars about an inch and a half and be done with it right??? i was also measuring from the ground to the start of the wheelup-molding and i noticed that there is a difference and the truck is lower on the left side than that right do i leave that like it is and just crank the bolts equally??? and can i do with the truck on level ground or is it best to jack the front end up???
