Magnaflow Exhaust?

How many people have Magnaflow exhaust and enjoy them? What length muffler do you have? If I am not mistaken the longer the muffler the quieter and more restrictive.

 

Also does any one have SI/DO turn downs? I am not worried about the V4 drop b/c I have the 4.8L.

 

Any opinions would be helpful. Does any one know the factory exhaust pipe size? so i can order the right size?

Mario always says wide open performance, kinda like a glass pack with perforated holes, so i would assume there would hardly be any restrictions. I have 2 4x9s and 18in long in my '99 truck and I love them, sound like a muscle car.

I would reccomend Magnaflow to ANYONE. Check mine out...read the last post...updated

Just thinking.

Would it be a bad deal to get a Magnaflow muffler, with dual outs in the back under the bumper with two 3.5" stainless steel Magnaflow tips all for 310 with mandrel bending?

I think thats a pretty good deal, i paid 650 for 2 4x9 stainless steel magnaflows with 4 inch stainless steel tips. Plus the pipes werent mandrel bent, it was a hack job.

I have a 5x8 14" case Magnaflow on my truck. I like it a lot but with turndowns, you need to make sure that its away from the cab or you will get bad drone. I cut my exhaust off just after the muffler last week and the drone is killing me. I can't wait to get some free time to get it redone.

 

As for mandrel bends, while much better, I think you'll be hard pressed to find whole lot of shops that do them. They may weld on preformed pipes but I've never seen one that did them in house.
