Waffle House or IHOP

Me and a friend of mine have a bet going.

There's gonna be a New Waffle House in the town that I live at.

The Waffle House is going within 50 feet of an IHOP. And this friend of mine is ecstatic that it's going in there and said that it will put IHOP out of business. I disagree. I told him that more people would go into IHOP because IMO it offers a better atmosphere (not much better, but still better).

So what do yall think? It has to be one of the two. even if you wouldn't go in one, please tell me which one you think is better.

Boy, you are coming up with some interesting polls! Maybe I was wrong in telling you to slow down so you wouldn't run out of topics.

As I have never seen a Waffle House I am going to have to vote for IHOP, that place and Village Inn are the only two places I actually enjoy eating breakfast in.

Waffle House is a chain of rinky-dink Diners that's a commpetetor to IHOP.

They're all over the place, I'm surprise yall haven't seen one before.

i see.. been to an IHOP. i like some of the casinos coffee shops more. if you can handle the smoke going through the casinos. and smoke is bad..

Jeremy, great poll. Unfortunately the House is primarily in the southeast and some of the guys from west of the Mississsippi may not have had the culinary treasures of America's greatest franchised greasy spoon. I'd think when some of the southern boys chime in, you'll see a more informed vote.

For those who haven't had the dining privelege of smothered, covered, diced and chunked, I can only describe it as the place you only go to after last call or the next day, as a cureall for certain alcohol poisoning -

I had to vote for IHOP. We just got an IHOP here in my hometown not to long ago. I've eaten at both many times thought (always sober) and think IHOP is much better.

Back in high school I washed dishes at an IHOP. The job was rotten but, I got all the free meals I could eat! I gotta say that IHOP has the best pancakes in the world!

My vote is for neither, the thought of all that grease turns my stomach just sitting here. But if it were the proverbial stranded on a desert island scenario, I'd pick IHOP (better syrup selection) if I were with the family, and Da' House (pure Southern Americana!) if I were rolling out of the bar after last call, lites out, cops are on their way.
