Help Needed

Hello everybody,

I have a friend with c10 and he like to update his carburetor.

We found the carburators for sale at summitracing for his a l6 engine, but we dont know what exactly l6 (231CID? 283CID? 292CID?)

 

Can anyone help ID this engine?

If that is the original engine, you should be able to decode the VIN tag for the motor details. Sorry I cannot help more, I am a V8 guy...

Looks like a 292 to me.... Got one in my old ford, just has a lot more oil on it.

 

You can get new intakes for these motors that a 4bbl carb will bolt right onto.

I checked www.inliners.org but cannot find the casting number thats on your block.
