Lifting Questions

I'm getting ready to lift my 08 silverado. I was told that with the nnbs trucks that if you program them (i was told by hp tuners no one else said this to be true) for larger tires they will throw an abs code and also that with the bigger tires the wheel sensors will throw a "check tire pressure" message because of higher psi in the larger tires. anyone heard of this?

The pressure range is +/- 10 PSI from the nominal setting in the RDL Module. You can change the nominal pressure with a Tech2 Scan tool, or a GM dealer can do it for you. Cost me $65.

whats the nominal setting? and what is rdl range?

Nominal setting is whatever you want to run your tires at. My stock setting for my OEM tires was 35 PSI +/- 10 PSI (25-45 PSI range). I had it changed to 45 PSI nominal (35-55 PSI range).

RDL = Remote Door Lock Module. Believe it or not, that is where this setting is stored.
