Installed Some Halo Projectors In My Gmt-900

Well a few weeks ago I managed to mess up one of my stock headlights while painting the inside. I took the opportunity to buy some new ones. I ordered some off of eBay that have CCFL halos and side marker LED's. I thought they would be ricerish but hoped for the best. I wasn't disappointed and love my new lights. What say you?

********Only night shots now. I'll get some daytime shots tomorrow. Third and fourth are the cutoff and beam pattern. They're hard to get pics of at night but you get the idea.

They look okay from a distance. I'll reserve judgment until I see the daytime pics. You do need some HID's in there now though.

I don't know about those lights yet, i like em at times and at others i don't. why do they always have to put those corny LED lights, they woudl be much better without them. HID's FTW.

I like the look of them. I don't find them ricey at all. And yes, they would look good with HIDs.

Do they have a brand name, or are they just a generic made in china eBay brand?

I don't like the LED's either. However you don't have to wire them in. I only did to see how they looked. I may still unhook them. As for the HID's, I will definitely be putting them in. The light output is much too yellow and looks weird with the CCFL's. The name of the manufacturer is Eagle Eyes. They are made in China I'm sure but are made well from what I can see. Anyways, here are some daytime pics.

Don't look too bad, wish that reflector wasn't so large, take them apart and remove it :D

They really do look yellow..damn..funny how on ebay in some of the pics they make them look so white/bluish.

Do they feel a lot lighter/cheaper quality than the OEM headlights?

when I attended the SEMA show this past year, GM had their display showing all of the future aftermarket add-on's, which included new headlights for the silverado...I still have yet to see the headlights for sale...ARGH! although the HALO's don't look too bad, i'm still holding off for the one's pictured...

Haha. My first thought was to take them apart and remove the reflector. I don't like it at all but I'm not about to cut these apart. They seriously are made well from what I can see. They seem to be of the same quality as the OEM lights. They had good electrical connections (which I had to cut apart to wire the LED's and halos), they are sealed well, and have thick housings. I had zero fitment issues. I'm not dissapointed at all.

As for the GM headlights, I didn't know they had any aftermarket ones planned, but they are pretty much exactly the same as the way I had my stockers.

(IMO) Not a fan of the halos. I understand mods to personalize the vehicle, but halos seems more like copying than personalizing. Every brand (or in some cases specific models) have a certain attribute that defines them; halos to me is BMW.

Just my $0.02.

what do you plan to do with those stockers? Dibs! :D

They're already on their way to my house..right iminaquagmire?

Well at least your truck will do those lights justice. :D ha ha...

at least share the customization...what's involved...

I also got a set of projectors, for autobahnwholesale but with out hid's they all seem to have a little bit of a yellow tint. I have tried every bulb on the market except the Piaa intense white bulbs and and honestly nothing seems to have a nice white look to it. You can get the Nokya bulbs real chap but in the rain they look like ...well you cant see anything..lol

Right now im running piaa gtx bulbs in my high beams and Sylvania silver star bulbs in the low beams with are inside the projector thingy. The Sylvania bulbs burn at 4100k and still look a little dim but better than anything else ive tried. The Piaa GTX series bulbs burn at like 6300k something like that and are saposed to have a little bit of a purple tint to them but in the projectors they look just a tad brighter than the silverstars.

so i guess you just got to spend the money and get real hids...or order the ,in my case the Denali stock lamp config.
