Baseball Update "little League"

It has been awhile since I've mentioned my grandsons baseball games. We won 24-13, sounds more like football, tonight. Napa is 3-1, we've had 2 postponements due to rain. I don't know what it is about this team, but it seems, they like to get behind in the first inning. We have trailed every game 5+ after the other teams first at bat. Talk about pulling your hair out. Ok, anyhow, my grandsons pitching has been right on. He has 9 k's, 4 walks, 4 earned runs, and he drilled one right in the kidneys. His hitting on the other hand, started out shaky. He was batting .167 coming into this game, and now, after going 4 for 4 he's at .500. He has 5 rbi's, 7 runs, and 6 stolen bases.

I so much enjoy this shit it aint funny. I just don't know much longer I can coach. There is way to much stress, and sometimes you just want to strangle the kid's. I guess that's when I start reminding myself that they're only 9. Till next time. pic included, I don't know how good it will be. It is from tonight.

GO NAPA! We are 4-1 after a 19-9 win Wed night.

After falling to 4-4, we have won 7 straight. The season is winding down, and we have 4 games left. My grandson is ave. .517 @ the plate. I have to admit that we are doing better than I thought we would. When the season first started, I predicted that we would go .500, and we are going to do better than that. Tournament play starts in 2 weeks, and that will be fun, as teams from all over the state come into town.

Well, we finished the regular season at 13-5. I'm very proud of all my players. We are the only all 9 yr old team to make it into the tournament. Our first game is Wed the 9th, and from what I'm told we should win that one. I'll chime back in on this, and post more after the game.

Well, our season is over. I guess the boy's couldn't handle the pressure. I'm still very pleased with each one of them. We'll take a month and a half off, and start the fall ball season. Sometimes I feel like I'm on a bowling leauge for 27 weeks.
