jscan Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 Noticed some spots on my new truck and looked more closely and found many spot where the paint had tiny spots about the size of pin heads, and what looked like painted over dirt specs. also found lighter colored areas more noticable when its cloudy out and/or in a garage with lights on. the more I looked the more I found blotchy light colored areas, it seems as though it gets worse the more the truck gets exposed the sun on a daily basis. I took it to the dealer and they verified my complaint and showed me a TSB #08-08-51-004 EI08184 (Doc. # 2139163) Dated 5/20/2008. It states dirt in paint, orange peel, thin, primer bleed through, runs in paint. 2008 Cad. Escalade, esv, ext ,chev avalanche, silverado, suburban, tahoe, gmc sierra, yukon, denali, yukon xl. I have a 2008 sierra 2500hd, steel gray met. and its all over the truck. They said the Eng. dept may want to inspect these trucks before work is done because it is becoming a wide spread problem. They have to paint the whole truck! I only have 1680 miles on it!
