Anybody Have Experience With These Mufflers?

Im lookin to replace just the muffler on my 5.3l and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with either one of these two mufflers. If they are no good im just gonna go with a magnaflow 12229. thanks

Thrush Muffler

I just had custom dual exhaust put on my '59 Edsel. The shop that did it said to stay away from the Thrush mufflers because they rust badly. The ones that I was looking at weren't stainless like the Thrush you are looking at because the didn't have stainless mufflers that would fit my Edsel, but the guy at the muffler shop really didn't like any of the Thrush mufflers.

 

That Summit Force Pro is not a stainless muffler, so if there is a lot of salt used where you live, that muffler isn't going to last very long.

 

Since the Magnaflow is only $8 more than the Thrush, I would lean towards the Mangaflow.

thanks thats was i was prolly gonna do. ive heard really good things about the magnaflow and some really good sound clips too.
