hey there all just wanted to say i have been on this site a while reading but knew i was not worthy of posting untill i got that white ford turd out of my drive way. about 2 mouths ago i found my dream truck that i have been looking for scince i got my new job. i purchased a 2004 gmc sierra nevad edition with the 4.8l and tow pacage. the reason its my dream truck is that i knew the farmer who drove it once every 2 weeks and it currently has 34,ooo klm on it(21,225 miles).it has manual 4x4 witch i love and i already dropped about 5 thousand into here for rubber and cosmetics. i have a few quetions about the truck though.

1st i was wondering if anyone could tell me the proper way of doing a rad flush on this truck. all my other trucks were stick a garden hose in the rad and run it untill the wather coming out the drain plug is clean.

2nd what maintnence do you guys suggest i do to the old girl. I know the millage means the fluids and stuff arnt worn out but i also know time kills some stuff no madder if you have 100,000 miles or 100 miles.

3rd do you guys have any tips to keep mud from collecting in the inside of your rims. I just put on some new 33' goodyear mtr's that suprising make the truck run smooth as ever on the higway unless the mud from dirt roads jams up and then it throws the balance way off. i dont mind having to preasure wash them to get it back i just hate the neighbours looking at me when its pouring out and im washing my truck.

also i have that small miss at idel ive read about and just cleaned the maf sensor anything else you guys have done to tame it with out a tune.

Hey, first off, like the truck and welcome!

There is special rad cleaning fluid you can buy. Not sure how well it works.
Clean the air filter
Not go mudding Umm you can try and spray like wood polish on it so that the mud doesn't stick.

Here is the stuff the atv guys use.
