OK, so obviously I need to raise the front end of my truck. I just want it to look level. I definitely don't want the front to look higher than the rear.

I have narrowed it down to the Readylift level kit, either the 1.5'' or the 2.25'' raise. Here are the 2 kits:

http://www.readylift.com/c-41-silverado-ne...-4wd-6-lug.aspx

What do you all think? Where should I take measurements to determine the right height that I need to raise the front to make it level?

Thanks.

I'm anxiously awaiting an answer also. I just bought a 2006 Z71 Crew Cab today, got it at a steal.

I hate the front end of the truck because its only 6 inches off the ground. My 1991 Z71 came straight from the factory level & the figerglass bumber to the ground is 10 inches. I hate how GM is making the current trucks with lower ground clearence.

So do I need a ready lift level kit or can I just raise the front end with the torcion bars?

this has been covered before.... just search. You can take measurements from the middle of the front wheel well to get an idea how high you want to go. As for your 06 you can turn up the torsion bars but I would advise you not to. If you lift it up more than an inch you have to get an alignment. The readylift kit probably has re idexed keys for your torsion bars.

Thanks; after reading many posts, I decided to go with the RC 2'' kit.

Read this article. The Cognito Motorsports Leveling Kit is the most effective on the market. It does much more than simply turning the torsion bars and an alignment.

Unless your funds are limited, the Cognito kit is highly regarded. Most other leveling

kits provide nothing but front end problems in the long run.

I am using this kit and am having the same company in the article do mine.

I checked out their website and I dont see one for the half-ton NBS. Do you know if they make a leveling kit for the 1500?

Mine is a 2008 2500HD GMC, and Gresham Four Wheel Drive is installing the leveling kit this week. I did not realize yours was a half ton. Call Cognito Motorsports and ask about product availability or future plans.
