'98 Suburban Hard Start Problem

I am having a problem with my 1998 K1500 (5.7) Suburban that I was hoping someone might have some advice for. When the truck sits overnight (or for several hours until fully cool), it will take three or four long crank attempts to start. There are no codes and fuel pressure drops after sitting, but comes right up when the key is switched on. Cap and rotor are new this month.

I am guessing that the crank or cam sensor are going bad, but I have no way to say fo sure. I would think that one of these going bad would throw a code. If anyone has any suggestions or advice, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What are your fuel pressure readings with key on, engine off? Does that pressure bleed back down? It could be that either your fuel pump is not getting everything up to pressure (I think it needs like 65 PSI, and 64 won't start it...maybe it's 60 and 59 won't start it), or your regulator is bad (doubtful since it's a hard start, not a starts and dies). My wife's Jimmy had this problem several times. Every time it was the fuel pump. Pressure would come up to 58 PSI but it wouldn't start. If it's not at 60+, it's a lost cause. These CMPFI systems are a pain in the ass, and picky as hell.
