Obd-ii Not Responding

I have an '02 Silverado and for the first time that I can remember it has a trouble code light. I took it over to the local AutoValue same idea as AutoZone in the US and when they hooked it up it said vehicle not found. We tried several different ways and checked any fuses that for some reason may power the port as we were stumped and no luck.

 

I can't get it into a dealer for another week and I have searched on here and online with no luck. Any ideas? The truck seems to be running fine other than its likely in a safe mode.

Have you checked the cigarette lighter fuse? That one is a common issue, it is right under the hood.
