A/c On High Blows Fuses After 30 Seconds

1997 GMC 3500. Whenever I put my A/C on high (with or without MAX), it now runs for about 30 seconds and then blows the fuse. It runs fine on low and medium and will run all day. However, the "high" power setting causes the whole system to shut off. This just started.

Thanks,

Which fuse blows?

It says "blower" on the panel.

The blower might be overheating at high speed causing the fuse to blow. Take the plug off of the blower and inspect it closely for any signs of overheating that could cause a short circuit. If the plug looks good I'd say the blower motor needs to be replaced.

I'd call the high blower relay suspect first. Unless there is visual signs of shorting on the motor. The relay should be behind the glove box on top of the air box.

Any idea where I would find the High Blower Relay?
