Slow Shift When Cold Question ?

On an '02 Sierra Denali w/ 63k I'm starting to get a slow shift (hangs) out of first when the truck is cold. I've changed the fluid several times and refilled with M1 ATF. What usually causes this to happen? I have a GMPP so if it's anything bad I'd like it to be taken care of before the warranty runs out.

Im sure it's just because the fluid is cold and takes an extra second to flow... I know when I was staying in PA that on the 45 and below mornings it would shift like it was in tow/haul mode for the first 1-2 shift then be fine after that.

It's never done it before and it's not cold outside. I've had other vehicles do this too, I just wondered if anyone knew why it happens and if it's serious enough to make the dealer repair it before my warranty expires.

I'm wondreing if it could be a partially clogged filter.

I suppose you could always try a BG Trans flush and see if that cures it... I know those things can work wonders.
