Side Steps...need Advice...

Hey all, my dad needs side steps for his (2008) 2500HD Crew Cab. The problem is that there's a ton of kinds and companies to choose from. He likes the GM-factory steps but doesn't want to break the bank. He also likes the steps that extend to the bed area (so there's a third step for the bed) but doesn't know who makes them or if they're even good. Any advice for him? Thanks everyone.

I got mine on eBay-they don't extend to the bed, but they are Westins and cost me $200 shipped.

Thanks for the links, but my dad doesn't want to buy off eBay.

So Westin makes a good product? Any others to look into?

I have had alot of trucks and say Westin is the best. Actually they make many differnt styles. Chrome, Stainless steel, painted steel. They even have different size nerf bars 3" 4". I recently purchased the enoconomy ones from Westin 3" bars cab lenghth and love 'em-Stainless steel..They to make them so that they extend to the bed as well.

Try autoanything.com they beat a competitors price and I recieved a pair for my 07 Sierra for under $300.00. good luck...

My dad just put steps made from NFab on his truck that include a bed step. Frontier and GoRhino make similar products. Try googling them

I have the gm factory accessory ones, really nice but they dont extend to the bed. One thing i really recomend is get stainless,or chrome plated stainless, or if you want black get the powdercoated stainless, i had westins on my old truck and they were 4+ years old and were still really nice my neighbor had regular and were rusting in about a year. I've had the Westins on my truck for just over a year now, very happy with them. I had MAAP stainless stepbars on my 05 Chevy & they got scratched up pretty good. Much happier with the Westins...
