Look What Showed Up At My House

I've been lurking around here for a little while on this very informative and often down right funny forum. Thanks to you all for the great info available here. Also thanks to one member in particular that helped me out with some completely non-confidential GM information. :dunno:

With the "share an employee discount" promotion that started late last month, I bought my first GM vehicle. It's an 08 Sierra Crewcab 2WD SLE1 in fabulous Deep Metallic Blue. This will be replacing my trusty & rusting 95 F-150. I can't complain. The F-150 has been a good vehicle and I was planning on driving it a couple of more years. But it's a truck buyers market right now and I couldn't pass up the chance to get a vehicle that better suits the needs of our family of six.

I'll chime in later, complaining about the lint on my seats and I'll start up one of those "Gee I bought a new truck, what should be my first mod" posts. Until then, here's a pic of my bone stock Sierra.

First mod (if you state doesn't require a front plate): Take that ugly mount off the front bumper.

I agree totally. If only Illinois would get rid of that front plate requirement. :dunno: Maybe I'll just take it off anyway and see if I get pulled over.

You can try, but I don't know if it'd be worth the ticket. I know here in NJ and up in NY they're pretty strict about it. It's not exactly something you can talk your way out of. "Oops sorry officer, I forgot it..." :D

Welcome, Nice truck!

Time for the DIC upgrade!!! Unless you already have it.

I got the preferred package, because Mrs. McBain liked the dual climate controls. So my DIC is already upgraded!

On my 2006 Silverado I took the front license plate off and it looked really awesome, but then I got a fix it ticket, so I put it back on. I have contemplated taking it off my V-Max but I don't want another fix it ticket. To the OP nice truck bro, I like those 20 inch rims.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for buying American. :dunno:

One less Tundra sold and one more step in the Journey to sending them down the same path with the Titan. Who knows, maybe Tojo will work a deal with GM to build their next Tundra as Nissan has done with Dodge and the Titan. If that were to happen, that would certainly increase the activity on this forum.
