Replaced the fuel pump on my 2000 silverado and have no power to the pump,,checked the relay and fuses,,all seem fine. looked for broken wires but found none,,could it be a glitch with the security system? makes me wonder if the orginal pump really failed? replaced with a oem pump so it should work right? need help with this one everyone..

i know this sounds dumb but did you check all your grounds ? and did you prime the pump ?
found the problem,,,hot lead from the fuel pump relay to the pump had a break from corrosion......located it right under the front left cab mount to the frame where the harness runs through,,grey wire must have had a small slice from the factory upon installation i think and just corroded after time and broke!! spliced in a new section of wire and it runs good again..thanks for the response i would have never thought thats what it was,,, but it was...NOW the wife wants to know if i need the new pump i put in??? told her if she wants to send it back get to removing it and get it out and we'll send it back.....she said forget it...ha ha..
