New Rims 2008 Silverado

Just got home from the tire shop that my buddy owns and he hooked me up big time with some new rims and tires. Figured I would share some pictures.

I like the look of the wheels. But, they're probably about 2 inches bigger than I'd want to go on a truck. Everyone likes different things, though!

Which Fortera tires did you get, Silent Armors or Triple-Treds? I was looking at the Silent Armor tires, before I bought the Parada Spec-X. They were supposedly on some sort of national back-order, though. It was going to take "possibly weeks" to get them in. So, I got the Paradas.

I love the look of the rims, though I'd have gone smaller personally. Still a great look though. Don't take offense to folks commenting on not liking 22s. Especially VMax2007. With him, just remember that you're getting an opinion from a dude with a chrome bug deflector...what can he possibly know??

The tires are Fortera SL Edition made for trucks and suvs for larger rim sizes, Im going to put my stock rims/tires on for the winter. I was looking at 20s and my friend that I got them from talked me into the 22s and Im glad I got them, I love how it looks and it rides almost as good as my stock 18s. Its funny how now a days people can except 20s on trucks because most manufacturers put them on trucks from the factory but 4 or 5 years ago everyone would b*tch about how stupid it was for people to have 20 inch rims on trucks. Oh well I like it and thats all I care about.

yep it is funny. It's not just 20s...you can go all the way down to about 16s in the last 15 years. I remember back around 1999-2000 my buddy was pissed his F-150 had 17s on it cause there were very few tire choices and they were heinously expensive.

Its cool dude, I see all kinds of trucks on here that I think look ridiculous but the owner probably loves how it looks and thinks his truck is the cat's a$$ and thats all good. To each his own and I wouldn't trash talk someones truck anyway. I've had 7 trucks sense I was 17 years old and My taste has sure changed allot in the past 14 years.

I took off the street sign of a chevy symbol off the tailgate and the z71 stickers, but there is no way in hell I'm taking off the side moldings, and I toyed with the idea of taking off the letters on the sides but I'm not sure either way. When I posted the pictures I wasn't looking for approval or anything it was more so that anyone who was thinking about getting rims and tires would have another point of reference. I know I looked all over this site to get ideas. Purple isn't such a bad color, at least my girl friend likes it on her car ha ha j/k

Back to your rims...I just realized that it doesn't look like you've leveled your truck, are you having any rub issues? Hell, even if you have leveled your truck...are you getting any rub issues?
