96 3500 Gmc 1 Ton Dually

My friends father has a 96 GMC 454 dually and He is getting rid of it because he got a diesel for his boat buisness. It is in great shape and has airbags in the rear for heavy loads. The truck is a monster and he wants 6 grand for it. I want this bad boy. What do you guys think

165000 It is not so practicle but man ive always wanted one. Im trying to justify buying it. I know the guy he is a good friend. Its in great shape

The only way I would drop 6G on it is if it had some pretty major updates. Like engine & trans rebuilds or something like that. Otherwise, that seems like a lot of dough for a 96 considering people are trying to give away the big block stuff these days. There are some real bargains out there.

Look up the resale value. I think it is alot to pay for that amount of miles and considering the appeitite for gas, I wouldn't want it.

A Big Block w/ 160k miles should be wore out. If the engine has been rebuilt, it should be EXTRA thirsty. Non for me, thanks.

The engine runs strong, which im surprised about. The body is in good shape. no rust. Kbb and NADA puts the truck at 6-7K with 165,000 miles. Maybe i'll hold off. Thanks for the reply's guys. I still think its a bad ass truck

If you want the truck, and can afford it, I say go for it. I would definately try to talk him down but go for it. You only live once.
