Recovery Straps, D-ring Shackles & My Tahoe

I was in the off-road scene for a while and never really had this "issue".

I just traded my 2500hd 4wd for an 08 Tahoe Z71. The strap I always kept in the GMC does not seem to fit the front tow hooks on this tahoe. Granted they are much smaller but downsizing to a smaller strap isn't always a good idea. I currently have a 3"x20' kinetic deal and used D-Ring shackles to connect to the tow-hooks when I was forced to use the front for recovery.

The rear is no problem as I have one of the Warn receiver hitch gimmicks.

I'm not willing to use a strap that has the hooks, so any suggestions on what I can use to safely connect the strap to the front tow-hooks if needed? The D-rings I have won't fit................

Buy bigger d-rings? It's either that or loop it through.

And for the rear, although I know you've got it, I've found that just shoving the strap into my receiver and then using my hitch pin to secure it in there works great.
