2004 Tahoe Rear Hvac Issue

So we tried to turn on the rear heat the other day to find that it would only blow cold air no matter what we did. We tried on every setting, it would just blow cold air? Any suggestions where to start looking for the problem??

This system has actuators just like the front. If you got lucky you can just relearn them the same as the front. The fuses for this part of the system are the RRHVAC fuse in the underhood fuse panel and the IGN3 fuse in the instrument panel fuse block.

What do you mean re-learn them?Also, is there any schematics of the tahoe online somewhere, if I have to start taking things apart??CheersAD

Would the Chilton books have a diagram on how to pull this all apart??

Try taking a look HERE to understand relearn a little. As for manuals I can't answer that question, I don't know.

Okay, so I read up on your instructions on how to relearn the front, so I will try it with the back and see what happens.

Use that proceedure but make sure you unplug the fuses I called out in this thread for your application. Not all of the hvac systems use the same fuses.

I had this problem about a year ago and the dealer had to replace the module (passenger side dash).
