I have a 1999 2500 reg cab. with a 350. Since the current "flo-pro" muffler is rusting out, i am going to have a new exhaust system put on. I am wondering what different set ups everyone has tried on their 350's. What brand of muffler and diameter of exhaust pipe gives the most hp/tq gains. The truck looks like it currently has stock pipe from the manifolds to the muffler, but then has smaller pipes from there on back. also, the current muffler has 2 pipes in and 2 out.

I don't have any answers for the 350, but if you're running duals, 2.5" seems to be the norm.

 

Try the search feature, too, I'm sure it's been covered. :D
