04 Navigation Not Working At All

I was searching, searching but couldn't find right answer for me.

 

 

I have 04 Escalade Platinum which is stock-full-option and LCD is not the touch screen, it's old version of GM.

My problem is,

Head Unit is freezed, all buttons are not working at all.

only scroll-stick is working, steering button is working.

cannot change the Mode(CD,Radio,XM, etc.)...

 

I was thinking about getting new factory navigation with Touch-screen one.

I like after-market HU, but I want to keep factory 6 disc also.

 

If I have 05 touch-screen navigation, does it fit right ( antenna, plugs, jacks, etc.)?

Is there any other navigation that work with factory 6 disc player?

Try disconnecting the battery cables, then touch the two disconnected cables together. That could help. If you are just going to upgrade to the touchscreen (which I would recommend). It will work with everything you have now. If it is not unlocked, you will have to take it to the dealer to unlock it for you. Good luck!

by the way, do you know how much do they charge to unlock?

If I get DELPHI TRN800 do I still need unlock?

Try disconnecting the battery cables, then touch the two disconnected cables together. That could help. If you are just going to upgrade to the touchscreen (which I would recommend). No problem Lee! If you buy a brand new Delphi one, you won't have to have it programmed. I got mine off of ebay for pretty cheap. Most of the nav's on ebay include the antenna and disc, which you don't need since you already have those! I asked a guy if I could still buy it without those things and he cut like 300 bucks of the price! So, that was nice. Dealer will probably charge an hours time, so probable like $80? Luckily, the guy who I got mine from had it unlocked so I just plugged everything in and was good to go!

And I can see it shows FM 96.9Mhz on the screen with playing CDs.

I can change the 6-disc by press 1 to 6 buttons and it plays okay.

 

I think Navigation HU is only problem.

 

Anyone knows which In-Dash-Navigation work with factory 6 disc and rear entertainment, etc.?

I was looking for 15800001 as you told me here, and I also found 15800000

and they have little different option like this,

15800001 For vehicle with Y91 or Y92 Option. (Bose Luxury Option)

 

 

UQA is the Bose speaker code for all year GMT360's and has nothing to do with either Lux or non-Lux amps. Dealer should be able to program the Bose Nav unit for either amp. Difference is: non-Lux has the analog amp which has variable inputs for volume, fader, bass, treble, etc. Lux has the digital amp which has a constant level 2ch input and the HU controls amp output and functions via the Class II data bus.

 

 

 

My '04 ESV is purchased on late 2004 when '05 came out.

And it's Full Option called PLATINUM EDITION that has BOSE SYSTEM/6-DISC/XM/ON STAR/REAR ENT./ETC..

I don't know which one is right for me 15800000 or 15800001
