Factory Chrome Wheel Skins

i HAVE A 2006 SILVERADO WITH FACTORY WHEELS THEY HAVE THE CHROME SKINS ON THEM. CAN YOU TAKE THESE OFF THE WHEELS AND PUT THEM ON THE SPARE TIRE RIM. IT DOESN'T HAVE THE CHROME SKIN ON IT THANKS

Actually Jason my wheels do look like they are "skinned" in chrome. They are not chrome plated...

 

MFR...as far as taking off these "skins" you definitely can but I don't think you can put them on again. They seem too fragile imo...

I'd have NEVER guessed that. I've looked at the chrome wheels like that before but never truly noticed that. My buddies Jeep Grand Cherokee actually has skinned chrome wheels with alloys underneath. The chrome w/t wheels look nothing like that but apparently they are just skinned.

 

I apologize for my first assumption. :)
