Hd Conversion

HI,

I HAVE A 2003 SIERRA EXT CAB SHORT BOX Z71

 

I AM INTERESTED IN PUTTING A 2000-2002 CHEVY HD FRONT END ON IT, AND I WAS WONDERING WHAT WAS INVOLVED, I KNOW I NEED HOOD, GRILLE, LIGHTS, BUMPER, WHAT I WASNT SURE ABOUT WAS THE FENDERS AND IF EVERYTHING WILL LINE UP WITHOUT MUCH FAB.

ANYONE DONE THIS BEFORE THAT COULD HELP? THANKS

I'm not sure about crossing the truck style years but I know with the 1500s in the right year series they can be interchanged. You would just need to compare the fenders on a Chevy 2500Hd with your GMC 1500. Sorry I am not much help.

First off, turn off the caps lock key.

 

And you will need at least the hood, grille, fenders, lights, and bumper, there might be more. And the bumper probably won't mount up right since the frame is taller on the HD.
