How To Remove Side Mirror

I know this has been brought up a thousand times. I searched How to's and typed in changing blinker mirrors but I'm not finding how it's done. I bought a set of signal mirrors and I thought there was some instructions as to removing the mirrors. The wiring is not my problem, I need to know how to get them off and back on again. Any help to find the thread would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much. I don't think I will attempt it though. I printed it off and will study it but I'll probably have a set of real nice mirrors for sale soon.

OK now seriously, No mod in the world is worth a crack or a brake in something on this truck. Your step by step process sounds very thorough but where's the pics? Is there a good chance I can do this without damaging something in the process. I really want to do this but in your instruction thread Mike said he broke his panel so I'm aprehensive to say the least. I really don't want to buy a new panel. If a guy is cautious and takes his time how long should both sides take to complete it?
