I went from P26570R-17 tires to P28570R-17 tires on an 2007 1500 NBS Z71 4x4 truck. Want to have the computer/speedo reset for the new tire size. One dealer tells me it can't be done and another one tells me it's $115. Seems awfull expensive for 15-20 min of work to reset the computer tire size, geez...

I did the same thing and could not find my hand held programmer to make the adjustment but when I did find it and adjusted it did not change anything. (My GPS and speedometer read the same after the adjustment)

285 is the with

but the height did not change because you are still going from a 70/17 tire to another 70/17 tire.

So you don't really need it Tim.

Thanks, just tried one of those Tire Calculator tools and said that speedo will read about 2-3 mph slower than acutual at 70mph. Guess, don't have to worry about it too much.
