sirbigspur Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 I have a situation. I have 20" wheels and I am looking for a good On/Off or All-Terrain tire. I want 35" tires. 1st Option: Buy one of the more expensive and limited tires that fit the 20" rim? If so which do you recommend? 2nd Option: Buy smaller 16" or 17" rims then get a less expensive but wider selection tire? I would have to eat an initial higher cost but future tire purchases would be cheaper. Which tire would you recommend for this size rim? I know this is a broad topic and I could sort through the hundreds of other posts, but I decided to just ask. Thanks
ndhonor Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 I just purchased four BF Goodrich All-Terrain KO, LT265/70/R17 Load C. These tires have about the same road noise the general crap tires. I haven't gone to my hunting lease since getting them (after having 3 of my tires slashed) to give a true off road test. They ride great and after reading reviews people are easily getting 60K+ miles, making the slightly extra cost more worth it. I had a little test today with the tires off-road and performed greatly on my 2 wheel drive Silverado. Good luck with your tire choice. I have a situation.
