Replacing Stock Oem Speakers In 2007 Silverado

I recently decided to overhaul the stereo system and upgrade everything. I allready have my head unit, subwoofers, amps, and box on order. I know the front speakers are the 6.5" and was just wanting to make sure the rear speakers in the extended cab door are the same size at 6.5" I am still kicking around which brand I want to go with. Also to everyone that has replaced the speakers themselves, are adaptors needed for the replacement speakers so there is a proper fit without any modficiation. If so, what brand/model did you use. Thanks for all your help.

the rear speakers slot in the extended cab is a weird design. the stock speaker is housed in a square mounting bracket. your going to have to make screw holes and your not going to be able to screw down all four sides. if your not bothered by that then yes you can put 6.5s in the back.
