Hi Guys, Been along time since I have posted. Just wanted to drop a note saying I just ordered a lowering kit for my truck. Looking forward to receiving it and getting it on. I ordered a Mcgaughys 4/7 lowering kit and new rear shocks. It will make a big difference in the look. I am pumped ready to get it. Hopefully install over x-mas break. Will put up pics when I get it installed. Take care, Jim

Well after ordering my kit on the 11th, I guess it will be here tuesday. As of right now I do not recommend the company I ordered the kit from. I will not name them on here but if you would like to know PM me. I ordered my kit and shocks on the 11th. The 12th I ordered spring hangers from another company. The spring hangers were dropped shipped from McGaughys and received it the Tuesday before xmas. So I called the other company that I ordered Kit and shocks from asking for a tracking number. They said they would email it when they got it. Never heard anything from them. So after a few more days I called them again. Still I didnt get a tracking number but said it would be 7 to 10 days. I emailed them and no response. So I am getting nervous. I just spent $680 and dont know when or if I will get my kit. I have my wife call them. She was told McGaughys was shut down for 2 weeks for the holidays. So the order was being dropped shipped from McGaughys. Just was telling me they drug their feet ordering because I had already received my other package and was ordered a day after I ordered my kit. He told her that they tried to send out all orders before xmas. If we didnt get it by Monday after new years to call him. Because McGaughys would be opened back up. Well of course we didnt get it, so she called them that monday. Finally heard from them on Tuesday with a tracking number after calling them again. Said the order was shipped out on Tuesday. So it looks like they never ordered the kit from McGaughys like they said they did. Because it would look like it would have been shipped out on that monday when they got back to work. Now this company we are having problems with isnt McGaughys. This company even has large adds in Truckin magazine. Awesome prices the lowest I could fine. But the customer service sucks. If they would have told me McGaughys was shut down you can understand the delay. And also they had already took their money so after a mth is should be here Tuesday. After I get it on I will post pics and how it was to install. Some friends and I are doing all the work. Sorry so long!!

Well guys and girls, finally got my lowering kit last Tuesday. I installed it Tuesday and Wednesday night. It wasnt a bad kit to put on. I did 95% of the work by myself. I worked about 3 hrs a night. So a total of 6hrs I installed the kit. A friend of my at work has a home shop and it has a lift in it. The lift makes life much easier. The first night I done all the work in the front end. I took the struts with me. On the way to work on Wednesday I dropped the struts off at Meineke to have the springs changed. I picked them up on the way home and installed them when I got to the shop. Then on to the back. The most difficult part of the whole job was to get the rearend on the topside of the springs. I did it by not dissconnecting anything. I hung the rearend with tiedown straps from the chassis. Swung the rearend to each side to get the springs past the rearend. You could only take the rear spring down. To get the front bolt out you would have to drop the fuel tank and I wasnt going to do that. The swinging of the rearend is where I needed the help. Had to man handle it pretty good. I also bought with the kit rear spring hangers. So I had to take the old ones out and replace with new ones.

The kit was Mcgaughys 4/7 drop part number 34004, you have to buy new rear shocks part number 2050 and I also bought the spring hangers part number 93049. Its a very well made kit. Also a very good company to call if you have questions on installation. I have added pics before and after. Sorry for the filthy after pics. Here in NC it got cold enough the have cut off most car washes for freezing. I am sure I forgot something so just ask. Here is a good article in Truckin magazine that is exactly my same project with pics http://www.truckinweb.com/tech/suspension/...rado/index.html
