There's a small town newspaper in the area where I grew up. This is one of the main articles this morning. The man who died was an avid hunter who LOVED his Silverado. He was killed in a hunting accident and has two young daughters to support. So I'm not really laughing. But I had to chuckle at the prospect of palbearers loading the casket into the bed of his favorite truck, and riding to the cemetary...

That's an interesting, but sad story.

On a lighter note, my grandmother had a 1983 Chevrolet Cavalier Wagon that she bought new. We finally convinced her to let us replace it a few years back. She always said she would be buried in that car. We ended up replacing it with a Ford Escort Wagon, but she isn't as keen on this one as the Cavalier. Guess she'll be buried in a casket, after all!

Every now and then we still see the Cavalier running around, usually covered in mud. That car was a tank!

I love it, I would much rather do that too.

It sucks what happened to him, and on his own dang property.

Good thing he had a Chevy and not a Ford. It would be hard to maneuver a Ford carrying a casket through a cemetery, behind a tow truck.

speaking of tow trucks, I saw a short clip on the SPEED show Wrecked. Of a tow truck drivers funeral. The casket was on a flatbed tow truck..

I guess he really liked his job :happysad:

Yeah, or worse yet a Tundra. The tailgate probably would have collapsed and his dead body would have fallen out. Or, it may have just "bounced" out after hitting a pothole. :happysad:

If you check the Tundra manual under transporting human remains it specifies "Ashes Only" due to load restrictions.

If you check the Tundra manual under transporting humans it specifies "Asses Only" due to mental capacity restrictions.
