Remote System Stopped Working.

I drove down to O'Reilly Auto Parts earlier to grab a Wix filter for the oil change tomorrow and when I got home and tried to lock the doors with the remote, nothing happened. No lock, no unlock, no panic, no anything. I assumed the battery died in the remote so I grabbed the other remote but unfortunately, I got same result. I'm going to disconnect the battery tomorrow and see if that helps but it sounds like it'll be going back to the dealer, again.

Did you try relearning the remote through the DIC?

Yes, I did and it wouldn't even make an attempt. I selected the relearn option in the DIC but it just went back to the screen to select relearn. There was no progress.

Tobias, I know you're new here, so let me give you a tip: don't hit the "Submit" button twice :happysad:

J/K.

Stupid site lag bullshit got me! :dunno:

Have you tried "search" yet? I bet there's some helpful info in there!! :happysad:

:dunno:

Why even try to search on my own, for myself, when I can just ask someone else to do the work for me? That is the American way, right? :sigh::sigh:

Have you checked the applicable fuses?

That I have not done yet. It was dark and cold out and the winds were getting really nasty so I locked it with the door switch and went inside. Good thought though. I always forget to check the fuses first. I'll check those in the morning.

Good deal. On my truck, fuse number 25 on the interior instrument panel fuse block controls the remote keyless entry (it also controls the driver seat module). I assume yours would be the same, or similar. Good luck.
