Keyless Entry

I am in search of an aftermarket keyless entry system for my wifes Bonneville. Has anybody installed one of these lately? How much trouble is it and what are some good name brands? The Car is a 96 model, so I don't want to spend over $100 on it.

I've seen them at JCWhitney before.  I'd think you should be able to do it for $100.  I don't know how difficult it would be, but it shouldn't be too bad...

Check out Wally World, A guy at work bought one and I think he said he spent right around $80 for it.  That might included a video on how to install it.   :D

I have purchased several from JCWhitney, the basic model is about $40, unless you catch it on sale. it has keyless entry and power trunk release. your car has to have both accessories for it to work, the kit only provides the remote control. there are websites that have wiring diagrams to show wire colors and locations to hook them up for your vehicle. a '96 gm vehicle should be a relatively easy install.

I just ordered the Bulldog from JC. $30, but they really rip you on the shipping! 11 bucks! I'll post back and let you guys know how it went. They claim it easy enough to be done in less than 20 mins. Thanks for all the info guys.
