Left Frt Axle Removal

unable to remove left frt axle from diff assambley ,, tried applying equel preasure to axle flange & tapping

thinking about cutting off flange & removing from inside , need to replace carrier bearing

2003 k1 with vin code t (5.3) i,m trying to overhaul frt diff. & cannot remove left front axle

carrier bearing are damaged. can i cut flange off axle & knock axle out after i disassamble carrier.
