Wax On, Wax Off

Waxed the 08 1500 today. Dang, that is a lot of paint.

Really needed the claybar, maybe it was tiny overspray spots from the Line-X, or standard contamination, but like I said, that's a lot of paint. Maybe next time.

Went with Mequiars Cleaner Wax....that will have to do until spring.

That is all. :fume:

Clay bar in the Spring will give amazing results but you have applied a good layer of protection for the winter. :fume:

Pictures are always good. I normally claybar the truck in the early spring followed by a couple coats of NTX wax. Gives an excellent base along with a monthly waxing keeps the truck looking good all year round. Late fall I normally give 2 good wax jobs to get her through the winter. Nothing better then a highly shone truck, and of course a naked chick sprawled out on the hood helps.

i always thought clay bar kits were a joke until i bought a used truck that never got dried off......the water spots were so bad that there were little raised bumps everywhere.....so i got the meguires clay bar kit and about 6 hours later i they were gone.....clay bar kits are amazing.......everytime i wax i check for water spots and tar and stuff and use as neccessary right before waxing
