Power Supply....

Hey guys I know it was my FAIL but I hadnt cleaned out the dust from my computer in a long while and my power supply blew due to a lot of dust....

 

So I dont know if any of you regulary check/clean your power supply and fan at the back of your computer but I am going to start... Just got done putting a new one in a little while ago... My computer is not very old and its a shame that I didn't take the time to prevent this from happening...

 

But whats done is done, and lets move on!

I take off all covers and unnecessary housings on my video cards etc. I also changed the impeller on my turbochawga.

I like taking things apart... I will completely disassemble everything in my computer and blow it off with the compressor. Just the last time that I cleaned my computer out I forgot to put the correct spell placement modulator in the right place in the motherboard... But now so far we are good as new!

no... I take the entire computer out to blow it off.. I even blow out the monitor to ensure the best picture!

Good tip. Every few months or whenever I notice my CPU and GPU running hotter than normal I completely disassemble my laptop and blow out all the vents, fan, and heatsinks.
