Problem With Block Heater

Hi,

My block heater has stopped working, not good news when the temp, is -38 c. I have replaced the cord from the 3 pin connector, to where it hangs out at the front. And when I did I noticed that a pin on the block connector was missing. I think this is the problem, and my question is.

Can I replace the 3 pin connector on the block, and if so how easy is it to do ? The truck is a 96 Sierra, 5.7 and is frozen solid outside on my drive.

Any help would be great.

Thanks.
