Check Engine Light

I have not had a chance to drive the truck yet, but is it normal to have the check engine light on for a certain amount of time?

 

Put in a better battery but it's a 34R.

We'll after driving it for a while today, no change, I also checked my air filter when I changed the battery, so maybe something is loose/out of place. If this truck needs a code cleared for a battery of air filter change I will be pissed!!!
