Dodge and Marlin

I'm glad he finally got there, but I was really pulling for Bill Elliot.

On the last rain caution, I was screaming, "Pit!" so he'd be in front if it went green again.

I still think he should have chanced it. Third or Thirty-third, what is the difference for him at this point? He needs a win, and to not worry about points!

Ol' Cryin' Craven had a good show as well.

Tha dang Yates teams just cannot get a break! Blown motor for Rudd and DJ lost a tire and smacked the wall.

This put Rudd in 2nd about 230 points back and DJ went to 4th.

Golden Boy is real close to getting another Championship.

That was a really good race after the red flag!  They were racing all over that track.  I'm glad to see Marlin and Dodge win.  I too was hoping for Bill to win.

How about Craven running that high line there at one point?  I thought he was wrecking a couple times.

Something else I just remembered.

When the Dodge teams all came out of the closet, they were supposed to be a "One Dodge Team", sharing info between all the Dodge Raceteams. I guess that didn't last.

Sterling Marlin has been in the hunt all season, Bill's had a few good shows, Dave Blaney and Ward to the front a time or two, but that's about it.

Petty Enterprises has missed a lot of races and Chip Gannassi's 01 car has been less than stellar.

Maybe there hasn't been as much info trading as they planned.

Yep.  Looks like anyone close enough to compete for the championship can't afford to have ANY bad luck for the rest of the year.  Gordon is usually pretty strong and focused in these situations.

I was actually voting for Craven.  Out of all the Dodges I like Sterling the best so I'm glad he got the Dodge win. But Craven deserves a win.  The point race kind of worries me.  I heard a few years ago about people going to take out Gordon because he was doing so well.  I don't remember the whole story but I don't want to see it happen now.  And their are drivers out there that will do it.

Honestly, I don't think the Dodges ran that well.  They better give them an extra 1" or two on the front valence.  I mean heck, they only had half of their total of 8 cars in the top 10.  LOL

Well, I wanted Rusty to win.  But since he couldn't I was glad to see a Dodge win.  That extra inch or two of valence doesn't matter.  Next year another make will get something because they're not competeing with the others.  It doesn't matter what make it is.  Other than Rusty I'd rather see a Dodge win than a Ford anyday.  Hopefully Rusty will be running a Dodge next year and then I'll only have to root for a Ford if that's the only thing close to Gordon.
