I am currently having maintenance done on my 2002 Envoy for a computer module that went bad on the passenger door and to have the rear pinion seal replaced. While the dealer was looking it over they mentioned that I should have the 4 wheel maintenance done on it but to replace the fluids they are asking $325.00 !!!!! I thought this was a bit high and to be honest I dont have $325.00 for a fluid change.

I was wondered if anyone else out there has done this maintenance themselves and what it entails. Between myself, my brother and my Dad we can wrench on just about anything but I dont know if it takes any special tools or tricks that only the dealer mechanics would know about.

Thanks Guys, I appreciate any insight you can give me.

I think that if you have a good set of tools you should be fine. Never changed mine but added some and it is easy. the biggest pain was i had to remove a skid plate to get at my t case but you shouldnt have that problem.
